Djikia’s work is built on a long tradition of Russian storytelling. His narrative art is like a song-- the image and words are inseparable from the meaning of the work. If the lyrics don’t work with the music, he discards them both. His work asks questions, is humorous and hopeful. There is a feeling everything will somehow work out. Djikia graduated with a M.A. from Moscow Architectural Institute. |
